My man on the ground in Kerry tells me that Gaine was more than likely murdered by a squatter on his land.
This squatter is American and seemingly ex-special forces. He has since disappeared.
Search has seemimgly changed to the lakes.
Either man will be found by sheer luck rather that the Gardai investigating.

This squatter has been mentioned a few times and spoke with Gardai in the aftermath of the disappearance I thought.
Does new evidence have to come to light for it to be upgraded to a murder? They must surely have something
I had heard that from my in laws within a couple of days of him going missing

The Irish Times had a piece on this at the weekend, it says a rough camp was found on his land and some items have been taken away for examination. They don’t mention who was staying there or if they were questioned.
Some locals have commented on the scale and speed of the search, asking if it’s normal to send in the army like they did.

The Tina Satchwell case discussion here had @Smark reminding us a couple of years back that when a woman goes missing then it’s usually the partner or husband who ends up being involved or responsible. Has anything been said about the Kerry farmers family? All fingers seem to be going towards this squatter which sounds very unusual that he wouldn’t have been picked up by now if he was involved
