It seems pretty unbelievable the scant media coverage it received. His mother was saying the police didn’t help much and the media weren’t helping to get the story out there. It’s obvious he witnessed something he shouldn’t have and was also taken out in a possible James Bond secret service type episode. thats a strange one alright. But I’d say the chap had issues rather than being taken out James Bond style. There was no records at all of any fight or disturbance on the train, never mind someone being shot or killed. He left behind 2 kids, and his pregnant girlfriend to go travelling in Europe on his own. And Police brought him to a hospital because he was in a distressed state. You’d want to be fairly distressed for police to bring you to a hospital themselves.
Cops are going to dig an area around Portlaoise for Fiona Pender at the weekend.
RTE reporting that the main suspect was involved in a relationship with an Irish woman abroad. He apparently visited this area on many trips home with her including threatening her in the location on occasions.

Portlaoise eh. Not looking good for @myboyblue
The investigation team has now identified an area of woodland outside Portlaoise.
It is believed the suspect went to the area a number of times on visits home and brought his partner to the area and threatened her there.
