Heard a good one once about them due to play a game and come throw in time still no sign of the boys. Just as the ref was about to call it, 4 hiaces pull in in a blaze of glory, lads fall out of them every which way.
Major storms out to midfield for the throw in, the boys following behind. One of them asks Major to lay out the team, Major turns around and tells them all to simply ‘SCATTER THE FUCK AROUND ME’ and that was that.
Wasn’t meant to be the worst sort, did as much as he could to keep a lot of them out of trouble.
They’re called St Geraldines now I think. Our 3rd or 4th team were in their league last year. Apparently they had 25-30 lads with them. You don’t play if you’ve been boozing the night before. Lot of them fit as fuck from the boxing too.
Saw a lad threatened and punched by a traveller this evening in McDonalds in Cork. All because he told the psychopathic mother to control her children - the kids were jumping up on his table and just generally annoying him - one actually knocked over his coffee.
Fucking scum. Felt sorry for the lad. No member of staff even came over to see if he was alright.
Bad buzz. Afraid there’s only one course of action in that case - get up and walk away. Starting a row with a female member of the travelling community is ill-advised.

Stand off this morning at a relatives farm in North Galway. Farmer going about his morning business and sees a lad tearing through the field and heading for the back gate with his tractor.
He managed ring for help, haul your man down and the cops had him cuffed in the space of 15 minutes.
