On all quality of life metrics, travellers score significantly worse than all the other groupings. In the UK as much as here.
Life expectancy, infant mortality, suicide and educational attainment are the big ones.
Iām of the view that the state, rather than countering these issues, has enabled them through the various policies down the years.

Dick head. Theyāre TRAVELLERS. Its in the name. Their ācultureā is theyāre supposed to move around. So why would they be looking for free houses? Are you saying this guff they tell us about their ācultureā and wanting to move around is baloney?
Itās not as simple as that, art. Providing houses for travellers in housing estates is just another way of trying to take away their culture. They need houses where they can still maintain some of their culture so ideally something like providing maybe a cul de sac of houses to one extended family so that they could still have the caravans and horses outside the houses for when they want to go traveling.
Youād get a grand few caravans in around there. Run a few powerlines out, few taps, portakabin, be a right halting site.
