You’ll be waiting a while for @caoimhaoin to come down anyway, that’s for sure.

Calling it a “poor choice” is quite the trivialisation.

Anybody who drink drives at all is an idiot and anybody drives a car after 8 pints is not a “great lad”, he’s a fucking cunt of the highest order, and it is a shame to have to point that out.

Sure mick, that’s the reason.

I can only talk for the lads I know and they are all decent fellas.

If you ever get the chance to be offline and have 8 pints Sid, you’ll find you don’t make logical choices - your brain plays tricks on you. You make poor choices, more often than not, whether it be shift the minger in the niteclub or decide to jump in the car and save yourself the taxi fare and having to collect the car the next day.

You certainly don’t intend to kill anyone.

What poster on here does he know that drinks and drives with 8 pints? Juhy, EG, Rocko?

I only know him to have done it on one occasion. It didn’t end well for the car unfortunately.

Croppy? Bhoy?

You can stop guessing. I won’t be revealing their identity.

Lay off @thedancingbaby, guys.

He’s only telling matters like they are. I’d say most of us know people who have done the same but didn’t kill anyone, it was stupid and reckless and he should be punished but it’s not as if he’s some monster who intended to do what we did. I’m sure at some stage we all may have done something wreckless that endangers others but we’ve been lucky thus far to escape any serious consequences and hopefully it remains that way.

The crossfit lads tops must always chaff them

it is Only since uncle Gaybo told us all that we were cunts to that degree have we actually been cunts to that degree.
Anyone over 30 who was off mamas tit before their teens wouldd be aware of this.

I know of nobody my age who can say they didn’t drive with drink. Those with a pardon were those who never drove.

Winner rating.

I have driven with drink on me. In fact I have driven with a lot of drink on me.

I crawled out the road. Not an experience I would like to repeat. I was fine on the straight but had something appear on the road in front of me my reaction times would have been woeful.

I suppose a crime can really be judged in terms of deliberate contravention of another’s human rights. I don’t think O’Rourke set out to crash into the Tracey’s car but his actions such as being so pissed that he was slumped at the wheel and driving at speed certainly create a sense of blame. Of course his running away from the accident really put the stamp on it.

Had something appeared on the road in front of me and I hit it then I realise that due to the level of alcohol in my system while driving that I would be to blame. Hands up. I would like to think though that I wouldn’t get into a car when I was unable to stand and I certainly would attempt to limit the possibility of any accident by driving slow. I would also like to think that I would stay at the scene. I don’t really want to think about it to be honest.

But anyway, as Kev says, nobody can tell Gillian what she should feel or what she shouldn’t feel. She views it as everything would be fine had O’Rourke not taken the reckless decision to get into that car and act the cunt. She can never forgive him for that. Can you really blame her?

The case is certainly as much as a deterrent for drink driving as any ad could be.

Never had you down as a violent type Farmer lad

It certainly is

@Sidney won’t think much of you pal

It is, but there are lads and lassies who will have 8 pints this weekend and when they’re walking out the door of the pub, they won’t be thinking of that crash or statement.

It’ll be “I’ll be grand, sure I feel ok”. Whatever happens them after that is anyone’s guess

You are moving the goal posts here big time.

I attacked your attack on how a person should grieve.

I have drunk & driven, amount of pints is irrelevant mostly, anything over 2/3 regardless of laws is wreckless. I regret it deeply and i am lucky i never hurt someone. I woukd say its the worst and most dangerous thing i ever did in my life.

So on a high horse i ain’t. But that is completely different to what you are saying and what people here are giving you shit for.
