Gardai in Navan who were attending a football match between Meath and Tyrone today received a number of complaints from attendees that their view of the game was obscured by a flag.

Sounds like they didn’t talk to the stewards first. But it also sounds like he didn’t get on well with his neighbours. There’s no bad language from him in the video.
I think if I was at a match with a big flag and some Meath man said “excuse me I can’t see”, I’d probably try to accommodate him.

no, spoken like someone who is only dealing with the facts at hand and not speculating motives. If indeed the gardai/stewards or anyone else had this man removed because of the seemingly political stance the flag was viewed, then I would be in full support of him.

As it stands, there is no evidence to support the theory that he was singled out due to the flag being the reason for his removal.

It’s rather ironic that you talk about “facts” and evidence, yet you haven’t provided any to back up your implication that there was something else at play here.

All the evidence we have so far suggests the man was arrested purely on the basis that he was flying a Palestinian flag.
