15 months off the road isn’t half enough.
Once he had taken the wrong turn everything he could have done was fraught with danger. It was super driving to extricate himself without causing an accident. You could plough into a family here pissed as a newt and you wouldn’t get 6 months.
His skillful driving is irrelevant. He could of been the cause of a very serious motorway pileup killing many and injuring an awful lot of people. It was extremely reckless. He can very thankful for his skillful driving and gets an A+ for it but he gets an NG on his motorway driving.
In fairness to the chap he probably just momentarily lost concentration texting somebody or something like that.
