Motorways driving

McD has had this in the works for 10 years. Midway weren’t allowed have petrol pumps when Pat started buying up that land. He’ll crush them in time.

Had one earlier today, delish man

He probably will. Midway was never any great shakes. It served a purpose. The hotel was/is ideal as a location for meetings as it’s very central.

A bar of dairy milk for the car after that feed

What do you get 40 years for, manslaughter?

Must be.

Sounds like a serious suspended sentence incoming

147 at speed. Wasn’t Selby anyway.

I googled it and it brought up this case

That’s some good sleuthing - you should let the guards know, I’d say PULSE is still circling and they scratching the heads themselves.

It actually brought up a few cases where a 40 year ban was imposed.
Some lad had a life ban from driving reduced to 40 years on appeal.

Stopped for coffee here at Midway, the place is a shell of what it once was. New stop opened nearby and that will hinder it but the place looks jaded.

137mph. He was fairing tipping alright.

The fastest I ever dared to go was 120

Will he do time for that?
On an empty motorway it’s not that fast.
I was possibly similar on the bike in lockdown

For that alone, I’d imagine not.

Edit @Raylan or one of the legal eagles might have a better idea.

Nice looking car. E-Class estate I think @carryharry ?

I remember back in the miles day hitting 100mph in my Ford Fiesta and the dashboard rattling.

This summer, I got back to zero penalty points for the first time in over four years, and I intend to keep it that way.

My last points was in 2011, the morning after the Jets beat the Patriots in the playoffs. I wasnt paying attention and didnt see the speed van. I didnt even know about it until the letter came. Caught doing 89 in an 80 zone, on the main road into Carlow town. As it then transpired, the road was increased to 100 about a month later and is still at 100 now.

I did the same in an auld Corsa on the portlaoise bypass/ motorway back in the day. I must’ve have had a strong following wind pushing me.
