Just not true. Paddy Jackson was Ireland u 20 capt and starting 10 through the 6n. Ulster pulled him from the world cup squad as he had played in a european cup final a few weeks previously and they didnt think it would benefit him to go. Hanrahan got his go because of that

Munster beat Toulon. Sarries were rubbish in europe, clermont had a terrible league. Iād say the top four is Leinster, Racing, Munster with any number of teams such as clermont, montpellier, sarries, scarlets in behind.
Ah thatās simple minded stuff. Saracens were going for 3 in a row in Europe this season but were crippled from injuries. They still put up an excellent performance in Dublin and also won the premiership. To say Munster are a top 4 side and Sarries are not is like saying Roma are a top 4 side in European football and Barcelona are not.
We are talking about in Europe this season. Sarries got hammered by clermont twice and hammered by Leinster.
How many of them were in the last two european cup semis? Munster beat Toulon this season and they were beaten at home in the 1/4 final of french league. Lazy analysis. Clermont didnt even make the playoffs in France they were cack this season

Come of it, scraping into a semi doesnāt make them top four. They havenāt threatened silverware in years, domestic or Europe. Winning a domestic league is of more worth than a euro semi.
Hanrahan has a better record and won nominations Jackson didnāt. Hanrahan younger as well.
