Munster Rugby - We DID start the fire (Part 1)

I don’t know is that a good reason!

Is SOB still dating Sarah Rowe?

Would he start for Clermont? More of a solid Paul Warwick squad player role?

The lad from Coventry is only relevant as an example that not every Clermont recruit is on big money. If JJ was offered €180k by Munster and that will have the Covid reduction built in, what do you reckon his contract is there at the minute? €220-230k for an uncapped player?

Nope

Warwick was a bit better class of player than JJ for me. Better temperament anyway. JJ has improved a tonne though. Best thing for him to go, he has been good but in the real clutch moments things tend to go wrong. Could see him improving away and not looking over his shoulder.

Carty would be brilliant over there. One of the best running 10s around. If the kicking (hand and tee)was a bit better he’d be a top player.

Carty would have a lot of scope to improve still. Could do like that Armitage lad and go to another level over there if he went.

Ya, that was it really. He also wouldn’t take on a drop goal in the return fixture in the last play. Was v doable and 3 points would’ve got munster the same bonus point as the try, 9 down on last play or near it.

He was some man for practising his kicking after games. Was hooked straight off one night after a shitty grubber against one of the Italian teams. Theyd to nearly escort him off after, was out there kicking and doing sprints for an hour…people were going out onto the balcony of the supporters bar to watch.

Probably came through at the wrong time. Post-Rog, there was an acceptance that Keatley wasn’t top class and an upgrade was needed. Most of the golden-era team were retired but Munster were still HEC semi final quality and needed a few elite players to get them over the line. JJ just wasn’t ready to be that guy.

It’s killer fit after coming off with injury against England?

Miles better. He was as calm and collected as any player who lined out for us. Guy almost needed to be checked for a pulse he was that calm

He didnt want to work and fight for the 10 jersey, took the easy money in the UK.

 or wanted to test himself in a different arena given the opportunity. Not satisfied with a minor medal and big fish/small pond.

He didnt wait around long enough to find out. He didnt wait to develop himself. Are you familiar with the case?

I am. But neither you, I nor anyone outside know the internal dynamics, what he was told etc. I think moving abroad to ply your trade is usually admirable, and the hard, not the easy decision.

It doesnt appear as if you do.
