They are politicians. TD’s looking to secure an ould vote

It’s great business for a flailing franchise - It’s also great business for all the click-bait local rags in Limerick who are on social media and bumping a headline associated with his death every two minutes - the sheep are so bombarded they think they need to blackout their windows and hang Munster flags out their windows because social media is telling them they need to be in mourning even tho most of them wouldn’t have recognized the man on the street a week ago. There’s an awful need in people to belong and be part of something and they don’t care what it is that gets them over the line in that regards… but lets not fool ourselves, this is great business for Munster and various news outlets.

That is some fairly disgusting/admirable opportunism

A black day for limerick

LImerick will struggle to recover from this.

The harsh reality is that there is no figure in Limerick GAA that would attract the level of feeling and emotion that the passing of Anthony Foley has.
40,000 limerick diehards though were bawling their eyes out on the sacred Gaelic Grounds pitch when limerick won the munster final in 2013. 2 months later that number was 40,000 in Croke park. 12 months later it was 7 or 8,000.
I can guarantee you that 30,000 of the needy Gaelic Grounds diehards wouldnt find 5 club grounds in the county. You are one of them. Going round calling players by their nicknames when you wouldnt know the colour of their club jersey.
Sport attracts the weirdest of fuckers, thats its nature. If people want to go to support a team tomorrow that has just buried its coach then good luck to them. But theres stranger more desperate fuckers out there needing to belong to something but cant find anything.

Foley’s wife gave a right old dig about the pressure in the past two years

I hope the living shit is beaten out of the cunts later today.

awful shower.

Shannon chairman agreeing with me, yet there were some very angry men on here last Sunday when I said the same thing. Fucking idiots. Apology accepted

“Axel (Anthony’s nickname) looked very well in the coffin. His hair was combed and he was shaved. Axel usually looks like he just got out of bed.”

Munster have named an emotional side for today’s game.
