I said it here last week. They could/should have beaten Cork but that performance was just conpletely ignored as the prevailing wisdom here was that cork were just poor.
When Tony Kelly fires Clare will do untold offensively. But, defensively they look really suspect. Fancy LK to beat them next wknd.
LK will win Munster. In saying that, would I fancy LK to beat KK or Galway in a knockout game at this stage, no.
I’d be quiet happy to change my opinion going forward but as it stands it GY & KK out in front.

Clare played OK against Cork, but it still followed the pattern of the previous four seasons - just when you thought Clare could kick on, Cork kicked on.
Most of today’s game followed the same pattern, and really Tipp should have put them away with that chance.
The four weeks in a row certainly worked against Tipp.
Clare are a funny team, though. They came out of nowhere in 2013, they’re clearly a confidence team, so you couldn’t rule out something similar happening this year.
Limerick have been superb so far, but they’ll be hard pressed to get something out of Ennis next week. Should Clare win that, they could find themselves on a roll again.
All the other team has to do is mark him. Mouse didn’t give him an inch in the second half while he was on him and he barely touched the ball. Duggan and Conlon need to be fed more ball, Podge coming back into form would be a big plus for them
Cork v Clare Munster Final in Thurles would savage.
I thought Waterford would beat limerick. Limerick really are back. They could easily win it out. They’ve walked all over everyone really.

Mcinerney was outstanding i thought. Clare made so many mental errors there, puck outs straight to tipp, throw passes, handling the ball on the ground. If they cam sharpen up their hurling and calm down they can cause us far bigger problems than cork or limerick. Plus they know how to win in croke park, something the other two dont.
LK have a really good FB line, great base for that team.
Kilkenny are the 4th best team in Leinster.

How could anybody possibly think Kilkenny are the second best team in the country? I’d fancy the 5 Munster teams in a knockout game v kk. They are muck.

Going to be very hard for Limerick to go 3 weeks on the bounce and win. There’s a reason no team playing 3 on the bounce have won.
It should be electric in Ennis tho.
Dublin in 2012 was the last time we dug out a win like that one. Never had to win a game like that in 2013. That Dublin win was a huge moment for hurling in the county as we’d been on the floor for 3-4 years.
Today was in a similar vein. Was more emotional at the end than I’d ever been at a Clare game before. Even in 2013. It’s been soul destroying watching us cave at the end in game after game for the last five years. Couldn’t help thinking that the same was coming again and it hardly felt real when those last two scores went over.
Great day to look forward to with our neighbours in Ennis now. Means a lot to have restored a bit of pride.

2013 final replay. Cork equalised with a goal with about 10 minutes left. That was anybody’s game at that stage. They never got ahead though.
And Clare certainly ended up having to dig out a draw at the end of the first game.
