Paddy Stapelton there saying Cork will destroy Limerick.
Cork have far better forwards.
Michael Verney agrees. Cork to ease home
as they will drag the Limerick defence every where.
Limerick forwards not good enough.
Paddy Simpleton
That is indisputable but doesnât mean they win .
The same forwards that completely went missing last weekend when Tipp got the least bit stuck in to them and denied the perfect ball coming in from out the field, those forwards??
Thatâs who Paddy Simpleton was referring to, yes.
Ger Gilroy just called em flaky and said
Limerick will walk all over em.
They are superb when up for it. But nobody can deny that they often go as lĂĄthair when the heat is turned up. Weâll see which way it goes Saturday evening
The Limerick forwards not good enough?? They scored 1-23 the last day with 1-17 coming from play with some shocking wides. Limerick will hit 2-30 one of these days with the chances they create. I feel the Cork forwards will find their space will be a lot more limited than in the first one and a half games as well as the quality of ball into the forwards.
I would also say Tipperary had 5/6 goal chances and Clare had the same, letâs see how they deal with Limerick aerially.
I thought Cork were decent aerially over the last two games
running at them is where Tipperary and Clare had joy.
That wasnât the issue at all. What game were you watching???
The forwards saved a point for Cork. Scored 3 points when chips were down that ultimately saved them
I just donât think that we can continue to rely on creating so many chances, we are going to get shut down somewhat at some stage.
Delivery dried up and Tipperary cut off the space between HB and FB line.
Cork were allowed do as they liked first half.
Rain played a part also.
What you gain with Flanagans workrate
you lose on the board. For now anyway.
He will grow.
But yes we need proven scorers.
How much had Gillane done before Tipperary game?
I know he had a bad ankle and he cleaned his man during game
but his striking and shooting looked a little off.
Did he rest up for a few weeks with the injury?
Iâd say he still wasnât fully right the last day. He is a tough fucker though. He shouldnât have stayed on the day it happened to him.
Ya but it was not flaky forwards. Tipp made clever adjustments at h-t. Identified the areas of strengths and weaknesses and brought influential players into the game.
The word in Cork generally is delight at the attitude that saved a draw and nearly won it.
They would have lost that hat game by 9 points 2 years ago
It will be fine when Nicky goes to centre back, Hayes to full back Hickey half forward and a few Na Piarsaigh lads up front.
My feelings on it too. He destroyed his man but he just seemed a little off at the same time.
He could do serious damage this week.
