It is very hard to see any team in this championship having enough to live with Limerick between 5 and 12 in the middle third all things being equal. There are just too many threats to nullify when they find their stride. If they are to be beaten it will require whoever it is to get more than their fair share of breaks and things to go their way.
Will be interesting to see Waterfordâs approach. No doubt they will flood the middle third but while they have willing workers nowhere near the physical size or power.
Yeah games can take on a life of their own and anything can happen. Just like Kilkenny in the semi final last year but if Limerick bring something close to their ability itâs hard to see any team right now with the players and set up to counteract the questions asked by Limerick.
But like anything every team will spend the winter being reactive and trying to develop their teams to counteract Limerickâs middle third which will be interesting to see what it brings about.
i saw somewhere where Sheedy said he didnt understand all the talk of two in a row as heâs already done itâŚ2010 and last year âŚhope it was tongue in cheek but donât think it wasâŚ
While completely different in style it is a bit like the Cork 2 in a row team of 2004 and 2005.When their half backline and midfield hurled well and their running game kicked in they were a class apart and again with players that were very hard to counter act they would steam roll teams who didnât bring the required work rate. But again teams went away and learns ways to counteract it shortly after.
Blah blah blah. Itâs terrible to see a Clare hurling stalwart not only pull his pants down, and apply his own lube, but do so purportedly on behalf of the rest of the country.
Limerick were unbeatable last year apparently.
They were hockeyed by Cork first day out last year. They have clearly look to have gone up another level from last year, whether than it due to the time of year or the continuity they have or the rest dropping off remains be seen.
