The big cost is paying the members of the backroom who are getting big money. Players get very very little in terms of mileage.

Yeah Iād be shocked if the average worked out at that. In fact, Iām 99% sure it doesnāt come close.
And the mileage could vary wildly from county to county.
The Mayo costs are huge as they have an awful lot of players based in Dublin .
itās an estimated breakdown - theyāve taken the total costs and tried to add it up.
So they know the result - itās fact and theyāve had to guesstimate to figure out how they got there.

How do they know the costs are fact? County boards donāt tend to even publish a breakdown of costs per team. They would generally have one āteam preparationā figure which would cover underage all the way up to senior.
