Munster Senior Hurling Championship 2023 (Part 1)

You’d have to seriously question the whole ‘shoulder to shoulder’ tackle at this stage.

A slight mistiming could have desparate consequences. John Small on Eoghan McLaughlin being a classic of this genre.

Daithi Burke gave Seamus Harnedy a bone crunching one last year too that luckily Harnedy got up from.

You get the sense we are very close to something absolutely terrible happening.

The charge to make hurling a non contact sport being lead by The Cork Examiner. Who’d have thought eh?

Soft cunts.

Shur the current Tipp lads would live this. This from a county that gave hurling Hells Kitchen. Where has it all gone wrong.

Could ye fannies revert to talking about this weekends matches instead of an incident in last weeks one? If you want to remain on discipline topic of conversation speculation about which Limerick players turn it will be to try and decapitate a Clare opponent this weekend will suffice.

The GAA are sleepwalking into a huge issue if they don’t sort this
The usual suspects will deflect to the rugby issue no doubt but poles apart how this is dealt with at every level of the sport

Is this a veiled threat ?

John has you rattled here…

This weekends game is defined by what happened last week.

There should be hia protocols any way.

They might as well play lacrosse altogether

You bet your bollocks to a barn dance it is my pedigree chum.

There is none at any level of rugby bar professional. Bang on the head = no assessment = taken off …either under own management/physio direction or ref can insist

What?

There are GAA concussion management guidelines and return to play protocols in place. The question is around whether they are adhered to rather than their existence.

Limerick have petitioned for Buff Egan and the Laois Hurlers to take the shots

Trippy Fitzgerald. He may have reasons to worry if he makes the pitch. I wonder will Foudy and Hogan start this weekend.

They should let the Waterford lad move up right close to Seamie for fear he’d miss. Although he’d probably go down and take the helmet off, Lord save us.

Clare will be working Colm Lyons all evening Saturday. You could call it now. Loads of their usual shit before throw-in, pulling and dragging will be off the charts, Davy Mac will be going around to the stricken and unclipping & removing helmets and the arms will be outstretched at the umpires, linesmen, fourth official and the Child of Prague, Cleary with his britches around his ankles for Gillane, timber flying and TK with the whistle between his teeth.

We wouldn’t have it any other way.

Id expect theyll start both. Hogan and Hayes probably should be 2 starting corners. I think Foudys performance was a one off. His long puckouts actually set up a lot of Clare scores. It was impressive how he was able to find Clare players like McCarthy and O Donnell with the long ones. Theyll need that against Limerick.

Interesting post.

But it is ‘writhing around’. The ‘riding around’ is off piste.

Another nasty post from the lads.
