Munster Senior Hurling Championship 2023 (Part 2)

“According to the 2016 Census of Population, Patrickswell has a population of
1,321 males and 1,378 females. The population has increased marginally (70) since the previous Census of Population. The population pyramid (data derived from the 2016 Census of Population data) for Patrickswell highlights a rather uniform population structure (Figure 1).”

I consider that a fairly decent size parish. Not a small club by any means.

You’re looking at the population of ballybrown and patrickswell there id say.

Both have senior hurling teams I might add

Is that it? That’s very impressive if so @BruidheanChaorthainn

That’s the village of Patrickswell I’d say.

Have we included Clarina when crunching the numbers?

I’m not so sure now there’s a fairly large ethnic community in Pwell village but ballybrown and Pwell are the one parish.

The woodlands hotel is in patrickswell parish!!!

A well kept secret.

Clarina is ballybrown. I think it gets a bit vague up by the old ballybrown pitch but the lines are drawn there somewhere.

Is that some sort of church purposes map he’s brought up ?

I got it off this fella. I’d say you’re right, you’d know more.

I do hate this notion “we are a small rural club” which is often banded out by massive clubs.

Clarina is a big enough place too.

It looks to me going by the figures provided by @endakenny that Patrickswell have give or take a pick of 3k which is huge for a rural club.

However, I would like an experienced auditor like @Bandage to take a look and confirm I’m right.

Clarina is absolutely tiny.

Yet apes like @Julio_Geordio tried to maintain years ago that Adare was geographically in west limerick

Its got a few housing estates.

Some clubs barely have a crossroads as their ‘capital’.

Patrickswell are a small club. No soccer really or football which is a help.

It’s tiny.

Do Patrickswell have any other feeder schools other than Patrickswell NS?

It has a Roosters Piri place.

Its cosmopolitan.
