Once the official time added-on has been played you’re completely at the mercy of the ref. Expect Davy to be philosophical about it in his interview.
A Waterford draw would all but have eliminated Cork. The big houses have to be taken care of.

Clare won’t win the All Ireland this year.
Drama and spectacle will always trump an undramatic demonstration of technical excellence.
Cork lost by one point in Ennis on the corresponding weekend last year and then went to Limerick and nearly eliminated them.
Waterford are in the exact same position this year, or likely will be. It will be interesting to see if Waterford can rouse themselves again next week. The one quality they definitely didn’t lack today was spirit.
