The incident I referred to was 18 seconds in. Jack Prendergast shot for a point which Qulligan clearly batted out for a 65 but was waved wide by the umpires. Brendan Cummins on Co-commentary duties called it as a 65 and Darragh Maloney referred to it as a very early talking point.

A shameful no show by Tipp “supporters” and team yesterday.
A very low ebb now, generational talents Paudie, Brendan, Seamie, Bubbles replaced by O’Mara, Bowe, O’Connor, Morris, Kehoe etc. Was in the town end, Tipp outnumbered maybe 100/1. At least 10/1 overall, fucking shameful.
Semple stadium no longer fit for purpose, a Hillsborough type tragedy in waiting.
Cork have a very sizeable following of scrotes now, starved of success but not cider or coke, their carry on yesterday was fucking awful. Admittedly very young, but the older ones amongst them were possibly worse. Be funny if Limerick and Waterford conjured up a draw next weekend

Am I the only one who thought clare were woeful for most of the 2nd half? Aimless shooting, disjointed, forwards (bar o’donnell winning no ball). Waterford did all the hurling but the goals kept clare with a cushion.
Maybe the 3 week lay off affected them.

They were shocking, but maybe Waterford are much much better than was predicted before a ball was pucked in the championship,
Like all Cork supporters I wanted Clare to win but on the run of play they were absolutely blessed
Apparently half the squad were laid low with food poisoning last weekend. Not sure if that explains the lackadaisical approach yesterday but I suppose it didn’t help.
I think the lack of efficiency in our attacking play will kill us in the end. The way we’re set up means that our backs are on their own but our forwards will have enough chances to win any game. We just don’t seem to consistently have the fluidity and support play in our attack that puts teams away. Great individual talent but 2 or 3 players who hurl by themselves.
It’s why Kelly is so crucial. He creates so much and brings other players into the game, sometimes through his movement alone. Without him we are hugely dependent on SOD and Duggan and if either is quietened the scoring stops. Rodgers is a quality player but doesn’t have the maturity yet to lead the attack like Kelly does.

Only bit of game I looked back at was the Tipp goal. Didn’t realise it was Conor Bowe that made the run for the first goal (we were towards back of stand and a sea of pool had stood up in front of us as the ball went in). Maybe we’d be better off with him in the forwards than trying to make a half back out of him

Watched TSG back there now. Waterford penalty was soft, PaFitz was on his way down before the Clare lad touched him. And why didn’t TDB just let that ball go wide. He had a poor game truth be told and so did Jamie Barron. No complaints. Fuck off Davy for making a show of us.
The tipp goalie is stone useless. If you left a bag of Hurleys on the goal it would have a better chance of stopping some of those shots.

Think you are harsh on Barron. He played a lot of ball and was effective on driving the 2nd half recovery.
The Clare keeper is very poor as is Collins…
Hogan had a very good forest half for tipp but they were over run from 40 minutes.
