Munster Senior Hurling Championship 2026

Is it not because they’re waiting for bigger days later in the year surely?

2027 and 2028, they’re gone too far ahead of schedule and the support are now out of sync.

Cork v Tipp in Thurles has effectively become a home match for Cork in recent times

That for real?

Limerick Clare Tipp. In that order

Yes, by the looks of it be all Cork in both terraces.

There will be some amount of booing so. Brin yhe ear plugs

The Tipperary county board has returned a small portion of its ticket allocation for Sunday’s Munster Senior Hurling Championship opener against Cork at Semple Stadium to the provincial council.

As a result, Munster GAA has made a limited number of stand tickets, along with terrace tickets for the Killinan End, available through Ticketmaster. A notice confirming that the tickets had gone on sale was circulated to Cork clubs.

Tipp fans won’t even bother going to see their AI champions play their first championship game.

An embarrassment

All of them tickets are club tickets.

Good few people don’t join clubs as they forget or are not club people or are too mean.

Majority will be purchased by cork fans but some will be Tipperary.

More people to boo Mccarthys frees I guess. The carkies have a strong tradition of booing, goes back to the war of independence, booing the freedom fighters

Surely you can still buy a ticket from your local club even if you’re not a member?

I know Tipp people who couldnt get a ticket yet we are sending some back. Bizarre.

Its on at 4pm on a Sunday in April which is the peak of the milking lactation cycle.

A lot of lads don’t understand this and will laugh but its a massive factor for County like Tipperary.

Having said that there’ll still be close to 20k there from Tipp on Sunday which is probably more than what will attend all those Leinster Matches combined and more than what will be in Ennis but there won’t be a word about that.

There was plenty of time to organise a relief milker. Time and date announced months ago

I thought these tickets were to go on sale at 10am Wednesday

There are only so many relief milkers to go around.

Babs Keating said a few years ago that Rural Ireland was simply not ready for Championship in April and he was 100% correct.

You can tell who the lads are from a non-farming background on here. They just don’t get it.
