The thing is Tipp and Cork tend to always be drawn to meet earlier in the championship.
Including 2000 and this year, they’ve met 13 times (according to my back of a fag packet calculations), compared to Tipp v Waterford meeting 12 times. However, there have been only 3 Tipp v Cork Munster finals, while there has been 6 Tipp V Waterford.

2007 is the only Munster final in that period of time where at least one of Tipp or Cork didn’t make it.
