Music Questions

If youre talking about the phoenix park one, it was a pixies and groove armada gig, the chillis and thrills wrre support

@farmerinthecity went to see The Thrills in concert.
Here - you cunts. Leave me out of this.

@Bandage bought tickets to a Snow Patrol gig back in the day. That tells all that needs to be told about that man.
I went to this with Mrs Rocko and @Bandage and @stevie G 's brother.

Iain Archer was playing support. Midway through Archer’s performance Bandage asked me “Is that a beor?” I asked Mrs Rocko what a beor was. She educated me on rural ways and I was able to tell Bandage that it was in fact a gentleman and that he shouldn’t be aroused by the mere sight of long hair.

Any Reindeer Section releases in recent years, pal?

In the words of Mrs Richards from Fawlty Towers:

YOU LYING HOUND!!

@Bandage has been utterly raped on this thread…

Are you familiar with Girl Band, pal?

I’ve only read about them here and there… they are supporting some one or other, or their album has been tipped for success, something along those lines.

Yeah, I don’t know anything about them. I don’t follow trends and do my own thing, you see.

But James Vincent McMorrow was sensational last night, pal. The Irish Times gave Tuesday’s show a 5* review on Wednesday and I’d certainly echo that.

His falsetto is only matched by my own and he’s a truly magnificent talent. He reminded me of James Vincent McMorrow for the most part last night but I was also moved to compare him to Antony & The Johnsons, Bon Iver and Jeff Buckley amongst others.

Hadn’t been in The National Concert Hall in many years and it was a smashing venue for it too. Wonderful stage, lighting, ambience, atmosphere and a stunning performance by our humble star and his band.

Ireland’s first genuine world superstar in the arts since Robbie Keane emerged on the scene.

So did I. When they first came on the scene. In my defence one of them was in my school.
They were shite.

When were you there before?!!

Watching James Vincent Mc Morrow perform live is a beautiful thing.

Last time was around 2005, pal.

Listening to “Oasis - The Lost Tapes” right now. You can clearly see The Stone Roses influence in their early tracks, it’s an awful shame some of these songs never got more airplay. “Colour My Life” which was written by Bonehead and Liam is a smashing tune - it would fit in seamlessly on The Stone Roses debut album.

The Gloaming live in concert on RTE Radio 1 now, starting with the magificent “Samhradh Samhradh”, my favourite song of 2013.

Hi @Bandage … I think you will like these guys. My misses has been listening to them lately and they’ve grown on me a bit- tho there is a bit of hipster value -which will really appeal to you. I like her voice tho and she aint bad looking.

Any chance you might mention the name of the band, you cretin?

It says it on the top of each video - London Grammar- ‘Strong’ is the first song.

As Fagan O Dowd will attest to, not on the app it doesn’t

Selfish bastard. The reason members posting music videos are required to include the band and song title is because people using the app can’t see these details on embedded you tube videos. I’m seething about this.
