Surely lifting an All Ireland trophy as captain in his native Laois was his highlight. That and being told by Mick O Dwyer that he was stone useless and a liability.
He seems like a guy trying to stay up. When he first came on the scene he made a lot of sense. Not so much since.
Tyrone set up much better today, huge numbers behind the ball and Mayos inexperienced players making all the rookie mistakes. It may get Tyrone a win today, but it wouldn’t get them far long term
Good aggression and intensity to Tyrone. Howeverif they get to within 2/3 at h-t I’d expect Mayo to figure it out when their natural power from the back should come to the fore with some extra space. .
Ref leaves Tyrone away with pulling back the hips all the time.
Mayo really need to spread Tyrone wide. This running they the middle is silly.
Tyrone are tired and retreating a bit more. 4 points should be enough for them to get something you would think.
It took Cork until the 30th minute to score from play :o
Aidan O Se is not evolving as a footballer at all. That shot was very poor. Mayos kick passing is generally dreadful.
McNamee should get black card there.
Morgan faking it and in fact he was the dangerous tackle, not AOS.
Absolutely ridiculous call considering Tyrone could have 3 blacks and mayo another 1.
Morgan at unbelievable bullshit now. The ref will be embarrassed looking back on this game.
Mayo have widened the game well
O Connor taking stupid shots.
I think the goal was technically a free out first. But Morgan, again, should have got black for the rugby tackle on COC
And a clear penalty missed.
I wonder would bomber call this the way he saw the AI semi in 2013, a very poor refereeing performance.
Well the only real decision of note saw Mayo have a goal that should have been disallowed, allowed.
O’Se’s black card was harsh but the Mayo goal should have been disallowed so it balances out.
McCurry has been excellent. He is a fine player.

Morgan actually adjusted his run into O’Shea after the handpass, O’Shea was also off the ground so should have been a yellow not black.
Mayo are fucking awful.
Appalling shooting from Mayo.
They’d break your heart.
And your accumulators.
What a bizarre view. The marauding AOS who was creating goal chances, notwithstanding his poor decision making, is not the same as 3 points. What evened it up would be theblatant penalty not given to COC. Or Morgan not getting a black card evened it up. Or the fact he let Tyrone players continually touch the ball on the ground (he let both sides, maybe it was Tyrone’s determination to be on the ground meant he favoured them and there was more of them for Tyrone).
The non implementation of the black card rules by the ref suited Tyrone more, and more power to them. They fully deserved the win. They had a plan, stuck to it and brought intensity to match it.
They are still a very limited side. But this win should help them have a chance of staying up.
