A far higher quality game here. There were some great scores kicked in the first game but there was no bite or pressure on them, this has been played at a high intensity throughout. Monaghan are defending tenacioulsy at the back, Ryan Wylie is having a stormer. Kieran Hughes having a colossal game as well. Think Bastick and McCaffrey have been the pick of the Dub players.
You do get the feeling that as soon as Dublin get a goal it will be game over but Monaghan hanging on in there right now and really making it hard for Dublin.

Dublin are lording midfield and have been dominant on kick-outs. Monaghan are battling hard and defending with all they’ve got to stay in touch. They’re working very hard defensively as a team. McCaffrey driving forward to take the ball at pace has opened up them up a couple of times and O’Sullivan probably should have finished his goal chance. But Monaghan have kicked some excellent long range points from limited possession. I’d expect Dublin to kick on and win fairly comfortably as I don’t think Monaghan can sustain this rearguard effort.
Yeah, hard to seem them keeping that up, I’ve been impressed by a few of the Monaghan fringe players, Karl O’Connell has been brilliant. Monaghan going well when you consider some of the players not involved out there - Walsh, Wylie, Lennon, McGuinness, Gollogly etc
