True, but you can’t restrain a player with both your hands around his waist, that is a yellow card offence. It’s pretty straightforward really.

He didn’t restrain him, there was nothing that merited a free. The Roscommon player who is a big fat mullocker felt and hand on him and theatrically made a meal out of it. It was never a foul, it was never a free and it was never a yellow. He touched the Roscommon player, that was it.

Stopping a player from going for a ball is restraining him Totti, it’s just one of those basic sporting things. McArdle must feel pretty silly right about now.
