National Hurling League Division 1A, 2013

…I’m from Cork lad.

Poor glasagusban. I actually think he believes the top brass within the GAA are out to get Limerick Hurling.

Credit to Counties like Clare & Dublin who get the fuck on with things & don’t worry about THE BIG 3 is all i can say.

I would say they are out to fuck up the sport of hurling in general, limerick are just getting the brunt of it.

who is “they”?

Limerick seem to be well capable of fucking things for themselves hurling wise from within their own county without apportioning blame to outside forces!

A 6-team competition is not a league.

The problem with Limerick people is they actually believe there is a conspiracy amongst the MUFFINS in Croke Park to get them.

Oh you know, “they”! Fuckers!

And don’t I know it. We have enough trouble with our own fuckers without outside fuckers to be dealing with as well.
You can’t make a non-traditional hurling county into a hurling county (Dublin excepted, but that’s a special case).
I also don’t necessarily buy the argument that the Wex/Offallies of this world will be killed off as hurling counties if they are not playing the big boys every year. Waterford dropped all the way to the old Div 3 back in the 80’s, that’s out of the top 16. In a little over a decade they were well on their way to being a contender. Wexford, Offaly and even Laois could do the same. Underage is where the work will be done, not at Senior.
Yes that Waterford team were only promoted back to Division2 in second place. Mayo who beat Waterford in Ballinrobe went up as winners.

As regards Wexford through a lot of the 30s and 40s they didn’t even compete in the senior championship, they were a junior county for most of that time. They started their first good run in the 50s with a draw with Meath. And then it all clicked.

Focus on Offaly is to look at things the wrong way. The Offaly teams of the 80s and 90s were the aberration not the rule. Statistically the county has a tiny population which it then further dilutes by diverting 3/4s of them into football. There should be no reason to expect Offaly to be a top flight team except to vaguely remember that they could do it once. In time maybe their All Ireland’s will seem as remote and exotic as Kerry and London’s.

No one is really out to get ye kid. I swear.

“They’re trying to kill me," Yossarian told him calmly.
No one’s trying to kill you," Clevinger cried.
Then why are they shooting at me?" Yossarian asked.
They’re shooting at everyone," Clevinger answered. “They’re trying to kill everyone.”
And what difference does that make?”

There is no they! Luimneach abu.

At least I haven’t got flies in my eyes.

Offaly have won the last 2 Leinster clubs, at a time their co side is low. Hurling alive and well, their football team is at an all time low. Offaly have always lacked a school structure and in the absence of that you need a county dev squad or centre of excellence which the lazy kunts have never bothered to put in place. They will rise if they reform, and it could happen quite quickly in that demented oasis. The success in the 80s and 90s can be traced to a single figure in birr I think it was fr fogarty ? Might have that priests name wrong

Playing 7 matches does?

He didn’t say anything about games played, he specifically mentioned teams/counties participating

Ok, an 8 team competition (7 games), constitututes a league then?

Tipperary SH team to play Dublin this Sunday.
Cummins Stapleton P Maher Cahill B Maher OMahony D Maher N McGrath S McGrath Callanan Corbett P Maher S Bourke P Bourke Forde

Dublin will fancy this bigtime. Forde getting the start is the major talking point, while P Maher’s performance at No 3 will interest me most.

Tell me about Forde please, carryharry.
