did you read Frannoās brilliant piece in the Sindo last week where he gave the details on a night out he and Gary Halpin had with Leon Spinks in Chicago during a 1989 Summer tour of the USA and Canada.
it was actually very poignant as yesterday we learned for Halpinās passingā¦ it was sublime stuff from Franno written exactly in the style one would expect , he praised Halpin throughout the article but the highlight was when he shook hands with Spinks at the end of the night and Spinks commented " You have very soft hands Franā¦"

Franno is quite clearly an awful arsehole but his articles can be very entertaining to be fair to him.

He started his journalistic career playing up to be an arsehole a la Jeremy Clarkson. I think heās animal farmed it now though.

That was a great article from Francis about Leon Spinks. He may be a cunt but he is well able to tell a story.

He wrote a classic about himself and moss Keane driving around the south of France trying to find a rugby club where they were due to play in some game .

his commentary on the likes of bob arum was excellent also, he really portrayed spinks as a most unfortunate character.
