Thanks . That makes a lot more sense

Theres a cracking 30 for 30 by ESPN called bad boys. Isiah was the very talented player on a Pistons team that played dirty. Bill Laimbeer was a tough so and so. The pistons won two in an era that the bulls and Lakers were arguably the most talented but were physically kicked off the courts by the Pistons. Rodman played with the Pistons back then.

Am enjoying the show I have to say, not a big BB fan and had no idea how good Jordan was. He is an absolute horrible cunt of a man though, I sense from it. In 92 himself and Pippen were goading the GM about his growth being stunted etc in front of strangers, the program makes it look as though the petulant name calling and demeaning behaviour towards Krause started in 97 when Krause made decisions that effected Pippin, Jackson and by default Jordan.
My point being they were horrible bastards long before that.

Whatā€™s the story with Michael Jordanā€™s eyes? Looks like a bad dose of pink eye.

Is he constantly stoned?

That is where the Jordan crying meme came out of a few years back. Which Iā€™d say pisses the shit out of Jordan.

Some speculate that he has a drinking problem. But Michael says itā€™s not a drinking problem, he just has a competition problem

Brilliant show. Jordan is a legendā€¦ Still sowing into lads years later despite destroying all comers on the court. You simply donā€™t reach those sustained heights year in, year out, without being extremely selfish and being a bit of a cunt. Thatā€™s the trade off you usually have to take. Not fat Ronaldo is of the same mouldā€¦ Brady is too.

There has to be some Irish in his DNA that he holds grudges so long. Itā€™s brilliant to see.

Apologies if already said here but why did this doc take so long to be released?.. Mad to have that footage about for so longā€¦ Was there a dispute or did someone have to die before it could be aired?

Jordan suppressed it for 20 years to get back at the security guard who beat him at quarters just to spite him

:joy::joy::joy:

Rumours that MJ agreed to it as he felt the warriors record breaking team had taken the spotlight off his bulls.

Hopefully thatā€™s true.

Iā€™ve only seen up to three so can only comment up to that.
I donā€™t think the doc is a hatchet job on him, they make regular mention of Jordan and Scottieā€™s disdain for him but that was well known and has been since the time,
He is actually spoken of in fond enough terms by others in the documentaries and his role in the creation of the team is well acknowledged, Oakley for Cartwright is rightly recognized as a huge turning point for the organization and is given time,
Youā€™d be cringing looking at the two stars belittling him though, real nasty stuff

How big was Jackson influence? Is it fair to say he had two of the 3 best basketballers ever when winning championships with the bulls and the lakers. Or was he a genius?
I havenā€™t watched basketball since BBC showed lakers celtics bird v magic games on a Sunday nightā€¦

Jordan was all about winning - ā€¦anything or anyone that fucked with it got it in the neck.

Damn straight. My first US sports jersey was a jordan 23 (itll also be my next) and i remember staying up as a young lad to watch the flu game. Jordan gambled, drank, and competed like hell. God be with those days compared to the snowflakes out there now in sports.

And held grudges. You love to see it.

Supposedly some of the central characters give him praise at the end of the series that we havenā€™t arrived at yet.

The David Halberstam quote still goes around about him which appears to be on the money, ā€œKrause should have got more credit than he did but wanted more than he deservedā€.

Krause is no angel in the piece. He quite clearly wanted to blow things up and start with his guys. He was trying to bring in Floyd for years. You donā€™t tell someone like Phil Jackson that you want him out. You donā€™t tell the media that you looked at trading Scottie Pippen.

Thereā€™s balance to be had, he did make some good decisions early on but the reality is with basketball that the centre piece make at least 70% of the difference and that was Jordan.

A woman is conspicuously absent from Jordan story thus far. No mention of hsi wifeā€¦ I thought I saw two kids of his in one brief clip when they went to Europe for exhibition gameā€¦

He made a pretty significant difference. He made them a more complete team.
