Why do people vote for FG, FF and the centrist Labour party if they align with your views? That isnāt my experience. Depends on where you live I suppose. Iāve been over a fair few times, and find people tend to lean slightly to the right on many social issues. I think the phrase āmost anyone is only six months of the streetsā is truer in America than in Ireland. I met a perfectly intelligent and articulate man in a guitar shop there a while back who was happily married and had a good house and job, and was now living in a tent because his wife got cancer, and his work insurance scheme wouldnāt pay for the drugs recommended by her doctor.
