Talk is now that UK will be the worst hit country in Europe. I don’t wish the man dead but I can’t help feeling that the fact that the leader of the country was on TV on March 13th encouraging people to shake hands with people who have the virus is a large contributory factor to this.

Today’s University of Washington model has the UK at 66K total deaths by August 4, and the US at 60K. That would be remarkable if that comes to pass, given the respective populations. The peak for the UK is projected at 2.9K deaths on April 17, and for the US 2.2K deaths on April 12.

It also says Spain is a week past it’s peak, Italy 12 days past it’s peak, and Ireland is now passing it’s peak.
