+1. Barry Kelly a sound man too, had a few with him in Hideout last night. My fellow Tipp man, minor referee Johnny Ryan a bit of a stones though…
Were you one of the older gentlemen leering at all the ladies in there, mick?
Did anyone happen to read Babs Keatings piece in the sun this morning. i am lead to believe he fairly lowered the boot into the likes of Kelly, O’Brien and Corbett
Babs should take a look at the abject performances his team gave against Cork in 1990 and 1992 when defending their All-Ireland and the way he fucked Kelly and Cummins around in 2007 before throwing stones at anybody else. Idiot.
i haven’t read it but i believe he was fairly strong in his wording and said they abdicated responsibility yesterday just like they did under him in 2007. Babs is indeed an idiot

A complete kip on any other day, but the best Croke Park watering hole by a distance. Fuckin fed us sandwiches around 11.30pm too…
Ha. I forgot about that. A lovely touch that was unsurprisingly lapped up by the Tipperary contingent.
Sid, that was my first time in there. I thought it was class but that was all down to the one and only Brian Gavin.
Sounds like a tremendous night for the GAA refereeing fraternity. It’s great to hear that being a referee isn’t all vicious attacks from the sideline, police escorts and being locked into the boot of a car. This could be the injection of glamour refereeing needs to entice more people into it.
It was a wonderful score. I still think though the point Kilkenny worked from the endline in 93 to force a replay against Wexford was better because of the extreme pressure involved.
It had everything.
A thoughtful build up.
Support play.
Brilliant first touch.
Pace.
Supreme finishing.
I have to say the praise for KK over yesterday has been completely OTT.
Tipperary didn’t perform at all. Kilkenny basically gave a great show of heart and determination, not to mention guts but they basically mullocked their way to victory.
The 2 goals were well worked and finished but the rest of their performance was just a few notches up on what the Clare team of the 90’s would have produced. 2008 it certainly wasn’t.
Can count on 1 hand the number of Tipp players who went well yet they still were in it with 10 mins to go. Fancied KK all week and knew it would take a 2006 performance which they got.
