You need a few superstars though to win at senior level
Ya heās class at this level, all depends on whether or not the GAA continue to allow Limericks rubby league style tackling as to whether heās capable.
Cillian Tobin, Timmy Wilk and Micky Finn should all be very good middle 8 players in the coming years also. Wilk probably be a 4 long term.
The way its gone to u20 means its hard to distinguish the superstars.
Iād argue Cork have a tradition at winning a few AIs with excellent teams without truly generational players.
In any case, itās far too early to say whether young guya at this age will be āoutstandingā or not

Ffs lad
Rynne and OāNeill really stood up down the stretch, both will be serious options for Clare seniors next year, Rynne isnāt a million miles off as it stands. Starting him full forward was a waste but this group lacks inside forwards.
Ronan Kilroy would have been seen as a solid hurler on last years minor team but there were probably a ten to a dozen lads I would have said ahead of him from that group who would start for the 20 at the start of the year - huge improvement in him, he was excellent tonight.
Collins is just a class act, super finisher. Moylan dominated his wing second half. Sheedy was poor for the first goal and hit a couple of poor puckouts to start the second half into the wind but aside from that his distribution was good.
They might have to leave Hegarty at full back to sure things up, he had some lovely touches in the first half, whether he had the pace for senior remains to be seen but he is a seriously composed hurler. You would be happy enough if this group could get 2 wins in the group going into it and anything else is a bonus - Rynne aside all the better hurlers have at least 1 but mainly 2 more years at this grade with a number of other decent prospects to be added in the next two years too.
He is only in 5th year as is his cousin Ben, who played midfield. Barry Walsh is potentially the best hurler amongst this group.
Who ya telling Fenners. He is a super bit of stuff. A young man who has gone through it.
Turenne felt he wouldnt make the Cork benchā¦
I wasnt surprised to see him play a part today.
There is a wind and Kilkenny have just struck for a goal
Fuck sake
Kilkenny penalty 1-9 to 2-5 now.
Half time.
The more things changeā¦
Just saw the last ten minutes. Laois going short for the last puckout was crazy given how dangerous Quinlan is up top.
Gearoid Dunne gave a throw for the ages the play before which should have been a free out. The two Laois selectors got yellows then for correctly calling it out.
Hard not to see KK pushing on with that strong wind.
Yeah that was the reason for the āthe more things changeā. Laois hurling is choc a bloc of hard luck stories
Ah Shur look it

Is Derek with Laois this year?
I know itās been said before but this Screeney lad is a joy to watch.
He is.
A lovely man
A typically infuriating Galway u20 performance today as they draw 0-15 to 1-12 with a decent Offaly team. Only the 20 wides for the westerners today.
Scored the final 4 points of the game after going down to 14 so Iād say theyāll take it. Tough conditions for both sides with the gale of wind. Lots of bad wides but not a day for sharp shooting.
