When you consider that Eoin Kelly, Lar Corbett, Shane McGrath and Hugh Moloney are out through injury it is a fairly strong side…
They are clear second favourites behind kilkenny in my mind but are still 3 or 4 players short of winning the All Ireland…Half forward line especially…Wonder would moving Eoin Kelly onto the 40 be worth a go…

Hugh Moloney not up to much, and Corbett is one of the windiest fuckers to ever wear a Tipp jersey. Seamus Callinan and Shane McGrath stepping up a level will bring them damn close.
Jayz, I just noticed Paul Kelly is back there. Savage player too. Was going great guns at corner forward there til he left a couple of years ago.
The move to the KK team never materialised anyway.
Corbett was flying it there last year.
Pat Kerwick is looking like a good one too.
Has moments of brilliance but much more likely that Callinan, Eoin Kelly, or Shane McGrath will be the men to pull them through if they find themselves in trouble. Its the number of those a team has that will decide the number of championships they’ll win.

Indeed and it did Pikeman…He is hurling for O Loughlin Gaels these days…
Dunno Puke-heard he was being coaxed all the same.
But twould be a dark day alright-be like Wexford getting a few Kilkenny lads to play for us…oh wait now…

Fooking fantastic to see Kilworth represented on the team, with another one of our men on the bench. 'Mon the fooking Kilworth.

Seamus Callinan as well Puke. They have a serious team.
Pity about the circumstances though Bandage. Mannix would certainly have got his chance anyway. The sub probably won’t make the Avondu team (North Cork Divisional team).
My Kilworth sources made the same comments about the two players in question. I know well who Avondu are Kev - I have a jersey of theirs in my possession (now here with me in work but at home somewhere). Did they win or nearly win the Cork senior about a decade ago? A lad from Kilworth captaining them? Alcohol affects such memories. Was listening to the 2007 Cork Junior county final victory on the net when we had our most recent glorious victory - 'mon the fooking Kilworth!
Indeed Bandage, i wasn’t putting that in for your knowledge, i know you would know that. There are a few who wouldn’t have a clue what i was on about.
They won the county in 1996. Excellent team, they had Newtownshandrum at the time as they were still Intermediate that year. The O’ Connor twins were 17. Newtown won the Intermediate that year as well.
I played my best ever hurling match against Kilworth, Minor A county semi final up in Rathcormack. I was usually wing back, but our keeper was sick, so i went in goal. We won something like 5-14 to 4-15. Even though i left in 4 i still think that was my best ever game. Good folk in Kilworth. For my club and Kilworth to be even playing “A” hurling was an achievement, not to mind making the County.
