Meath will give Dublin pucks of it, as they always do.
Was impressed today with Dublins defending, hunted Kerry in packs.
Early in the year still though.

Iâve seen Kildare play twice against Wexford this season and I reckon theyâll put it up to Dublin in Leinster. Of course, Iâm hoping theyâll be ridiculously complacent when they play us and weâll have sorted ourselves out in the meantime too. But they have some decent young players putting pressure on the established lads and are athletic and physical. Probably still lack a bit of quality but Johnny Doyle always gives them a chance.
I canât get over how far back Wexford seem to have gone. After last year, you wouldnât expect them to hit the same heights, but theyâve beyond beyond woeful this year so far.
Kidare tossed last year away to concentrate on Geezers weights program, thereâs a few boys there who have bulked up seriously these past 12 months. They also have intergrated a few of the U21âs like Smith. Theyâve a lot of 6 footers there now who are extremely fit, if a little generic, its like a little part of Ulster on the Dublin border.
I think your expectations of what any trainer could get out of these lads is a little high puke.

Meath are shit.
Yes they are.
Dublin arent much better.
Meath will give Dublin pucks of it, because Meath always give dublin pucks of it.
I dont recall ever saying Meath werent shit?

Dublin are far superior, all things being equal, Dublin will win by at least 6-7 points.
Dublin are not shit, by a long shot.

Youâre having a laugh Kev. Dublin are a long way off the pace of the top 5 teams such as Kerry, Tyrone, Galway, Derry and Cork.
Meath will give Dublin plenty of it, and I dont even fucking rate Meath.

At this stage they would be just below that group, and Monaghan. But then themselves and the likes of Mayo, Armagh, Kildare are absolutely miles ahead of Meath. Meath, Laois, Wexford and all them are so far behind now its not funny.
Meath will give 100%, but its like Div.1 against Div 3. in reality. Dublin will win handy.
Weâll see Kev, weâll see.
How did Davoren play for Dublin yesterday?

Are you talking about Football or basketball?
Personally, Iâd have the footballers behind Kildare.
Wickla would even fancy their chances.
Youâll know how much trouble the Dubs are in this summer when you Ciaran Whelan on the field.
Scored 1-03 from play. Kerry took off Aidan Oâ Se after 20 mins. He was very impressive.
I was impressed by Kerrys coolness in getting back, but the Dubs have a good few new guys (Kilmacud & Vincents players noteably) who look like they may have a bit more cutting than the likes of Whelan, Keaney and all that crowd, who are mentally weak.

AOâS was injured.
Was he? Didnât know as i couldnât understand the commentator, but he did walk off from no treatment, thats what gave me the impression he was tactically taken off.
Iâd heard he scored 1-3 but was his general play good? Were they decent scores he got? Saw his goal on the news. Does he look like a realistic championship full forward for Dublin?
He was sitting on the sideline behind JOC & AF with ice packs around his hammer minutes after being subbed.
Davoren looks the real deal. Doesnt look like a classy player, looks awkward and gangly, but gets scores and is unfussy. Could be just what Dublin need.

Iâd agree with that. Ross McConnell also looks the real deal in midfield. Him and Shane Ryan would be an excellent combination.
I wont get carried away with McConnell yet, has put in one or two decent shifts, but on the whole he has a bit to prove yet.
Ryan looks to be pulling a plough these days.
