That Fine Gael candidate in one of the Cork city constituencies (potentially trying to replace Coveney or do I have it wrong?) is a daughter of legendary former Limerick hurling manager Justin McCarthy.
There’s a lovely affinity between Limerick and Cork and vice versa.

I saw poor Bernard Mulvany putting up his own posters at Sutton Dart Station on Sunday. I’d say that’s a hard enough grind.
Tormey is a pure cunt. Know nothing about Brabazon. Heneghan is from a family of grifters. O Muiri has been a lifetime in politics achieving nothing. Ditto Heney. Healy is an oddball. I know nothing about the Labour chap. Mitchell has been like Tina Satchwell since she was elected, disappeared without trace. Mac Donncha (Marty Feldman) another useless lifer.
Cian O’Callaghan is the only decent one amongst them. It’d be hard to fill out the ballot once you go beyond the number 1 for him.

Not a common surname around Dublin but there are a few of them around the place all the same. The Earl of Meath is Brabazon while there were others descended from mercenaries who arrived with the Normans
