Old Matchday Programmes

I’m reading a story about a young Mayo reporter heading to Dublin for the 1948 All Ireland. They lost.

Clockwise: 1968, 1964, 1971, 1976

Picked up the 76 Ulster Final Replay recently. Replays typically a lot harder to come by than drawn game programmes.

Did you ever go into the shop that had all the programmes on Parnell Square back in the day? I think yer man’s name was Conlon, he was from Monaghan I think. He used to have great window displays.

Few rugby ones here.

Ireland v Wales 1982, Ireland v Scotland 1982, Australia v New Zealand 1991 World Cup semi-final 1991, Ireland v South Africa 1965.

The Candy Shop . Was great place . A treasure chest . He used to sell all sorts of things . He sold soccer fanzines there too .

No. Was never in there. There would be a reasonable amount of All Ireland final programmes back to the mid 60’s in circulation, prior to that, they’re harder to come by. 1913 apparently the earliest All Ireland Final programmes.

1981 Galway v Limerick replay, 1994 Offaly v Limerick, 2000 Cork v Limerick, 1981 Galway v Limerick draw

!

Cork v Galway 1990 All-Ireland final, Cork v Tipperary 1990 Munster final , Cork v Waterford 1982 Munster final, Cork v Tipperary 1984 Munster final

Here’s one for you
Edit, my photo editing skills are shit :pensive:

I have nearly all All-Ireland finals in football and hurling from 1957 up to the mid-70s. Have the 1956 hurling final one too but the cover of it is missing.

One I have here too is the 1950 Railway Cup finals but it’s only a sheet.

County semi final 2007. Croom 1-13 Kilmallock 1-08. The team in the programme is wrong though.
