Old Matchday Programmes

Agreed, great for fanzines

Would have been either my Grandad or my Dad. I’d say it was the latter judging by the writing style.

Not a fan of the a4 size programmers

That’s a nice thing to have.

The first All Ireland Hurling Final programme from 1913 reportedly went for €2,100 at Mealey’s auction in Kilkenny today.

Finally got around to sorting my programme collection today. Have a pretty solid collection from the early 90s onwards.

Here are a few of the best of the old ones

The gaps in the guard

Cunts were charging a €5 for a programme in Ennis on Sunday. A €5 for a team sheet you can get online for free and a load of adds, robbing bastards

Here are the teams from the 89 replay.

Finbar Delany of Blackrock possibly?

Those old helmets were basically upturned washing baskets.

Twas the same for a programme in the GG for the Waterford game

I didn’t get any that day as someone had it. Nor Sunday either fuck that shit

Definitely not him, useless trivia: he’s actually the dad of Damien Delaney, only ever played twice in the championship for Cork, those two games against Waterford and scored something like 2-18.
He was also the sub goalie for the Cork footballers for a few years

Cork made a fair few changes I think, have you the team from the first day?

Mick Dineen ?

Damien Irwin I think.

5 All Stars on that Wexford team. A few lads that were fairly liberal with the application of timber too.

That Wexford full back line would cut you in half.

He didn’t that day. Big Joe and co ran riot

Saw this from the GAA Programme Collectors fella, 40 years ago- Cork vs Tipp in Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
