I doubt it. Heroin would seriously affect athletic performance.

the similarities to a tiny country in Europe who are doing simlar things in boxing is striking
if the Jamaicans could run a decent doping programme surely we could[/quote]
Thereâs no way weâd have the brains to get away with running a decent program, a fella in this country drugged his horse, another bought his gear online and another poured whiskey into their piss* once to mislead testers.
*allegedly?

Perhaps one way would be to fill the team with law enforcement officials or those with a record of not opening their mouths to law enforcement officials.

We are genetically disposed to being good at boxing at lighter weights. The Jamicans are similarly genetically suited to sprinting.
How ever taking PEDâS wouldnât have enough benefits to a 4 round technical sport like Amatuer boxing. The risk-reward ratio is too inbalanced.
However they are of huge advantage in the power sport like sprinting where milliseconds matter.
Itâs a bizarre section of our sports stars to attack just to be different/controversial mickee. There is simply not even a suggestion of it happening from any credible sources.

im not attacking anyone kev
Ha ha ha ha.
I read a stat earlier that of the top 20 fastest hundred metre runners ever only bolt hasnât tested positive.
Blake?
Did Leroy Burrell not test positive? I was sure he did.
Any scientific research to back this up Kev?

The Canadians were very good in the mid 1990âs what happened there?

Charlie Francis was their coach. He had them juiced up, his books Were a tell all in Track and Field. He was deeply involved in College athletics in the states as well. He was Ben Johnsonâs coach. But significantly he changed the way people trained for sprinting. He always said his guys were only taking the drugs everyone else was an his book backs up alot of it. He coached the Canadians for 70âs and 80âs.
His methods were revolutionary though and are employed for weightlifting and sprinting preperation of alot of sports nowadays. He had Johnson lifting 95% Squat 1RMâs within a few mins of a 100M race.
Itâs widely accepted the Yanks went after Ben Johnson due to Francis in revenge for other incidents. Itâs believed everybody in that race was juiced, but none if the. Would have failed a test as back then they were knew when theyâd be tested and everyone worked around it and would have stopped talkin PEDâS a couple of weeks before championships. He said the testing of BJ was rigged and there was noway what was found in the tests was in BJ. His explanation of it made alot of sense when I read it. Very interesting books.
Iâm sure there is, but mostly our success winning medals against far more resourceful countries would be enough to suggest it is so.
We are a very genetically mixed country, contrary to what we were taught at school. Our Basque Celt, Gaul, Viking, Norman, Flemish mix tends to leave us with sharpness, whit, and elusiveness. There is no direct evidence that I can quote for you, just a collection of memories from reading over the years and a passing interest in genetics and Irish history.
Hand to Hand combat Has been a common theme thru Irelandâs history as well. We are suited to boxing and as weâre not a particularly big race, obviously more suited to lighter weights.
Was Mo Farah juiced lads? I was watching his two Olympic wins last night-his acceleration in the final 600m in the 5000m is something else and he starts doing stomach crunches after the race and sprinting around the place celebrating looking like TASE running around Talbot Street after an evening on cheap Eastern European yips.

I havenât read his books but have read some interviews and watched the 9.79 30 for 30 on him and itâs hard not to believe him.

Of course he was. His coach is Alberto Salazar who has had athletes caught before and has worked with Lance Armstrong. Farah is now working with John Smith who was Maurice Greenâs coach and is as dodgy as they come.
