On this day

Burnley had no coloured players in their squad yesterday, that’s weird in this day and age isn’t it?

I think this is the first time the Stone Roses crossed into my consciousness. Tony Wilson had a very late night arts show on Granada TV in the late 80s. I went out and bought a white soft cotton hat some time later.

The intro from Tony Wilson is class.

The story of Christys passing and the coincidence of who found him lying there is amazing,

Would he make the Limerick match day 26 at his peak?

Would he have gone on strike?

Cormac McAnallen also died on this day 15 years ago.

Dunno mate, are you suggesting he was good enough for Justin’s scabs?

I’d have him in the same bracket as Ronan Lynch

15 years, wow. I remember that day well as I was auditing in New Brunswick, New Jersey, at the time. I had a little routine of checking the news from home online when I logged in every morning and I got an awful shock to see the headline about Cormac McAnallen passing.

Just wondering if it was a Cloyne thing.

I’m no hurling expert but i think he’d struggle to play the full 90 minutes

He was certainly fat enough.

No Galway man could tie his laces

He was still playing club at 45/46

If Christy was playing today he’d be getting dogs abuse for his fat arse

I’d say christy was having trouble tying his own laces at this stage

Christy as he would have looked in a full face helmet
