Sunday September 17th (along with September 22nd) is my favourite date for an All-Ireland football final. The sun always seems to shine for an All-Ireland final on this date. I’ve no doubt that if the big day had been today, the sun would have shone instead of being overcast and rainy like it is today. The weather knows. It is not happy. It was not happy on July 23rd or July 30th of this year either.

The point to make it a replay was iconic. Dubs should have beaten ye in the semi. One Limerick left behind as well, but we left it so far behind we can’t complain.
Clare should have won another couple after with that young team. I suppose there’s lots of teams won none.
