Paris Olympics 2024

The 2028 Olympics will also be shoehorned entirely into July (14th to 30th) to clash with the two All-Ireland finals.

Lucky Kev didnā€™t witness that.

RTE having Bernard Dunne on giving his expertise is an interesting choice.

The sister was on the Cark and Gillick podder (cc @Bandage and @gilgamboa) and is a thoroughly decent sort. Their back story is amazing. The father upping sticks with her and working 3 jobs here just to live and then the mother and young lad move over 2 years later.

Sheā€™s started and sold 2-3 businesses as well. Sheā€™s obviously an exceptional character but shows thereā€™s no substitute for a good work ethic

This was completely bonkers and brilliant. No opening ceremony of anything ever will come close to London 2012.

Bernard is an alright sort.

Thereā€™s Zidane now and he should be out saving Girondins Bordeaux.

The message so far seems to be that public transport in Paris isnā€™t fit for purpose and that the city is full of rats. And crocodiles.

And skulls

Nice hat tip to the IRA there.

Something not quite right with Macronā€™s hair

ā€œEvery vantage point taken up along the river.ā€

Thatā€™s sort of what youā€™d be worried about.

Lovely gentle banter between Greg and Darragh.

Iā€™d say Darragh has a sheet of facts heā€™s going to shoehorn in

Greg Allen let the cat out of the bag there. Irelands two flag bearers are an athlete and a golfer.

No one bid for the 2028 Olympics. LA got it as both they and Paris bid for 2024 and the IOC were worried theyā€™d have no bids for 2028

Second Captains use that last tune as an audiobed about the Mayo football team and I now have Martin Carney shouting ā€œheā€™s stealing yardsā€ in my head.

Argies on the bargies

Get back, get back

Youā€™d hope the French police wonā€™t have to shout that at anybody during this.

Would have been nice if they had The Beatles to play it on one of the rooftops, mind.
