People Kev knows

Go way you handicap.

You’ve never told a joke that had some form of racism/sexism/prejudice?

See my earlier point - language has a multitude of rules - it’s not black and white.

The Kev defence, exhibit A.

Can you answer the same question? or will you refuse to and throw out standard meaningless responses?

My meaning was clear to anyone with half a brain.

My overriding memory of Kev is him saying Tyson Fury should try adding some weight lifting into his training. His opinion should be listened to because of his experience training camogie.

The reason people didn’t like confronting him was because he was always about to throw a strop and no one wanted to hurt him. Eventually someone, I think it was @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy, told him that any spastic could train camogie and he threw his knickers out of the pram and left the forum.

I find it very strange that a man that listens to rap music regularly - a genre that uses the most abhorrent racist and sexist language - is on here going spastic over the use of words.

If I did, and I’m sure at some point in my life I did, I realised that this was a reprehensible act and would not do so anymore.

Language does indeed have many rules but decency is much more clear cut.

Very much so - that’s why within certain circles I can say anything because the people I use it towards know me, know I’m decent and know this through my actions not how I goof around.

Kev saw S&C as a religion and couldnt understand why everyone else was not willing to p®ay.

No you’re an idiot who thinks it’s acceptable to cheapen a very serious term that relates to someone disability.

The company you use it in does not make it acceptable, it just mean you’re hiding the fact that you’re an utter cunt from the general public.

No, because the people kev knows thread was the cornerstone of TFK.

We need Kev back, lads are struggling on the Pretend Fitness thread and need his advice.

The word retard is used regularly in tv and movies - have you started a campaign to have these banned? - I’m not cheapening anyone’s disability - words make their way into every day lexicon all the time, that’s life. I judge words on the context of how they are used and by whom, not in a black and white manner like you. A word in itself is meaningless without a whole variety of context.

You keep trying to drag it down to something that’s insulting - that says a whole pile more about your mental state than mine - you are unhinged or incredibly irrational.

This is a retarded argument.

You’re making the same argument that Kev made and was castigated for on here.

Ask anyone who has a family member with a mental disability, explain your usage of the term in the same manner as you’ve tried to justify it here, and see if they agree with you.

I agreed with Kev’s stance so it makes sense that i’m making the same argument …

So if i’m out having a few beers with mates - one says or does something stupid and I call him a retard while we all have a friendly chuckle at his antics and that’s what you call debasing a section of society? really?

Yup.

Grand.

I think it’s best if we just ignore each other on the INTERNET from here on in, Life is too short and i’d hate to be upsetting you.

It’s ok I know you’re a racist clown who doesn’t think twice about knocking those who can’t defend themselves so I’ll factor that in my dealings with you.

If you get a chance do yourself a favour and look up casual racism/discrimination at some stage. Good reference here http://theconversation.com/explainer-what-is-casual-racism-30464

“Everyday racism is so commonplace that it’s often normalised and infused into daily conversations through jokes and stereotypes or through unconscious body gestures and expressions.”

Are you seriously going to slag off someone known for being incredibly decent towards disabled people based on his use of a word?
