Phil Hogan - We'll miss him now he's gone

Iā€™m no fan of him or FF, but how many times does it need to be answered?

Once would be nice. Iā€™d like it asked. I take it Claire didnā€™t ask so, Sarah would have which is why I suspect sheā€™s at home this morning

Pearse Doherty on now advocating that Champ speaks to Frau Ursula, tell her the Micks have a replacement of the same calibre and stature to fill the shoes of Big Phil as Trade Commissioner and sack Big Phil.

How long have you owned that tinfoil hat now?

Is he still waiting for permission to sack Michele Oā€™Neill?

Youā€™d get one of those at the local mart.

Nice try. Thatā€™s a no so. Well done RTƉ

Iā€™ll send them an email with your kudos.

Why not drive up there now youā€™re allowed.

That would seem unnecessary.

Pearse giving a good account here. Has hung the establishment there.

Pearse is part of the establishment now.

Iā€™ll be voting Fine Gael just to wind up paddy cosgrave.

Mick Wallace?

With RODs massive impending surplus that could be a wise tactical vote

MnĆ” Vol. Violet Anne Wynne?

Weā€™ll bring in a running mate all things going well, shattering the Collins dynasty in the process.

Pearse got very confused on his numbers there again. He was saying he attended that IRA/SF funeral in Belfast a few weeks back on the understanding that he was one of the permitted 50 following the cortege. Claire Byrne put it to him, that the Deputy First Minister Oā€™Neill had said that there was only 30 allowed. Pearse on reflection, not sure whether 30 or 50 was the number.

Iā€™m not sure are you on a wind up or just naive but Iā€™ll give you the benefit of the doubt. Itā€™s no revelation that Irish politics and the macro system are overly cosy and corrupt. Most people recognise this thatā€™s why the apathy party was the biggest winner at the last election, garnering more votes than anyone else. Your suggestion that people voted SF as they recognised this flawed system and wanted to depart from it is ludicrous for one simple reason. Despite repeating CHANGE so it would stick in dimwits minds, SF were more than willing to go straight into government with either of these corrupt parties you claim their supporters saw right through. If they even made a preference for one on ideological grounds that would be something, but they didnā€™t. So they were promising no real change at all, just wanted a few more slots at the trough and had to trick the easily led into giving them that. I wonder what they promised to achieve that?
