Phil Hogan - We'll miss him now he's gone

over to the shinners with the MONC

That suggests she would have recommended he be removed only she somewhat conveniently found a few ā€œmitigating circumstancesā€
Anyone any idea what these could possibly be?
Dog doesn’t eat dog is number one I’d imagine.
Number two is that they probably own adjacent artisan cottages in roundstone.

It’s a disgrace how rich folk are allowed buy up large swathes of connemara alright…

At least they only want to build humble cottages

Look over there.

Just read the report. A crock of shit

He asked the Chief Justice was it alright to go as soon as he got the invite and he got the all clear. Couldn’t have done much more than that. That’s like an Article 26 referral.

Judge clears judge shocker

Resigning was disproportionate. It’s the right decision.

It’s not really. You’re asking the entire country to give up many of their constitutional rights and to stop working entirely in many cases. and to limit their contacts and not congregate. It’s legally unheard of. And you have a judge flaunting those rules. He went out on an 80 person competition and was shocked when he met those 80 people. But sure he’s grand cos someone else should have made sure it was distanced for him.

I couldn’t give a fuck about the covid breaches sure everyone is at that. It’s the judiciary job knobbing with politicians and hedge funds that is the issue for me. They are supposed to provide the checks and balances

Ok Mate. I’ll give Phil a buzz and tell him it’s all sound. I’m sure he’ll have MairĆ©ad disappeared in days.

Some lads still pining for the days when we bowed down to our betters, an all too common theme on this forum.
In fairness the great and the good didn’t ask for Covid, it was just thrust upon them like some unruly parlour guest. A most unbecoming virus all told

Xx

Woulfe not out of the woods yet. The IT has two articles and an editorial berating him today.

I’d say big Phil must be seething

I’ve made a quick phone call to a shrewd judge and have been told ā€œhe’s fucking fumingā€

After taking a hot curry dump, is he…

I’ve been meaning for ages to watch Borgen and have just got around to it now, I’m on Season 2 Episode 2 and in this episode the Danish have to nominate a new EU Commissioner. The characters involved are of the opinion it’s a great opportunity to get rid of someone they no longer want around in domestic politics and the people being offered the post have no interest unless it’s one of the big ones. The episode aired in 2011.

I just starting into Season 2, it’s a great bit of TV.
