Cork voted NO. He’s an “outsider”. It’s all in the article.

No wonder he was refused, that’s fucking rank. (and yes, that’s the front of the house)

Must be north facing to have so little opes

It has the feel of a dungeon.

Looks like a workhouse from the famine times.

He left little window of opportunity if truth be told.

He needs to dream bigger and better. With more windows too.

Looks like hes using an exit as an entrance

In every dream home a nightmare.

Indeed.
Or making public his desire for privacy.

Is there a pic of the other side of the house? He could have better views and it could be a wall of glass. My friend is an architect and has something similar. All the neighbours constantly on about the house facing backwards. Doesn’t look great from road but makes perfect sense inside the house

given the media coverage it’s getting, and online comment, I’d say that desire has gone by the wayside

There is in fairness to him.

Unusual to put a drawing of a smoking ant hill beside the house.

Planning seems to be an awful hassle these days from anyone I talk being subjected to it.

They don’t want people building one off houses.
The easiest route seems to be to buy a site that has any kind of existing dwelling, get it condemned and then start from scratch.

They promote that sort of thing in the Cork Rural Housing Guide.

You’ve to be careful. If the house is deemed to be ‘derelict’ they could tell you to jog on. You could always tell them to dere-lick your balls, and take it from there.
