Planning applications

Progress is to be welcomed

Did you object at the DLRCC stage or is it one of those strategic applications that goes straight to the board? I read in the paper today that ABP made a pigs mickey of the planning application for the RTÉ lands and it was thrown out by the Courts.

i agree, but this isnt progress, its a large number of single bedroom units, towering over the building line on the seafront and then they have only 3 parking spaces intended for over 150 units

its one of the SID things that goes straight to ABP.

its a very similar application to one form 0 years ago that the high court upheld ABP saying it was bollocks

Sure why would you need parking and it beside the dart?

the dart doesnt go everywhere

Sure they can cycle or walk wherever the dart doesn’t go.

and what happens if they have electric cars. the CC policy seems to be zero cars but thats just not a runner

The future is apartment blocks without cars mate

I’ve seen a lot worse. Is there a SEGREGATED scooter lane nearby which will connect inhabitants to mass transit hubs?

you mean the victorian terrace?

ah its an assault on the senses and really doesnt fit with the character of the DL seafront. that said DL has some of the finest SEGREGATED cycle lanes in any european metropolis and its across the road from the dart station and bus terminus

Sadly we’re infested with the likes. A hangover from your monarchy murdering our people, taking our lands and planting our county.
