Not really going strong for them this year and has has a cameo role in both 'comer games I have seen this year. Class act though a few years back and was the main man for them last year as well.
Dont be ridiculous.
Two hands on the hurl at all times.
The birds as well.
Must have been '99, he scored a goal in the first minute that day so just continued scoring on the pitch where had had left off when he got out of the car. No need for a warm up anyway.
I realise what shite they got him out of, but there was no obligation for him to hang once it was clear he was never getting the nod. What was done to him up in Donegal was pretty harsh and he never pulled on the shirt after that.
He’s a fine Club player no doubt and regular top scorer down there, but he was given two chances to go elsewhere and I think his talent deserved the recognition either of these chances would have given him. Muprhy from Cork done ok with Kildare if memory serves me correctly, Karl O Dwyer the same, neither were begrgudged it in their own county.
But they went and lived there due to their professions?
Quill worked in Tralee all his life, i don’t get the comparision. That would be just transfering like in rugby or soccer.
If your life takes you away then fair enough, but you can’t just be transporting guys from out of Kerry 'cos they ain’t upto it in their own county.
Must be a Leinster thing.
Eh I wasn’t expecting Quill to commute from Limerick or Laois, of course there would be a job involved. I dont see the problem, plenty of players have moved to other counties to play intercounty. Shame not to see a talent like him more to be honest.
I’m gonna say Ian Twiss also as one who was going to be big for a while.
This would have been acceptable but only if he had retained his vote in Kerry in order to secure his long term future.
It depends bando, does he have land.
Its all about the land.

Ha, he’s a gas man. Met him through work, think he’s back in Miltown nowadays. He is only on and off M-C team these days, don’t think he was ever expected to make it. Good Sigerson player.
He was a serious minor and U21 player, not much in him but could win his own ball and score. Sigerson was a bonus, never moved from there but did get some bench time with the senior after that Sig run.
Maybe he was now MBB, i remember the name at the time alot, and he’s my age i think, but Cork were beating Kerry most of the time then so we took our eye off them a bit.
Think he wasn’t up for the commitment.

He played against Laois in a minor All Ireland final, think he has an U21 All Ireland medal, along with the Munster Club medal won when with UCD.
UCK you mean.
Might have been a year younger so, was that the '96 final, cos it was Westmeath in '95 wasn’t it?

Oh yea, UCC, both our mistakes.
It was 96 alright.

Nah, it was definitely UCK. Something like 22 of the 30 were from Kerry, the most hated club team in Cork GAA history.
Best player was a Limerick man though, Reidy, can’t htink of his first name, Michael maybe, a balding guy anyway.

Damien Reidy, very good footballer ok. Last seen playing wing back to Clane in Kildare. He teaches in Clongowes.
I’ve noticed that you add “ok” into lots of sentences recently! Is that cause you’ve got so used to submitting to stuff since you got married
Damien Reidy and his brother Denis were almost eternal students, Denis especially. Damien was a cracking footballer though, as solid as they came and basically kept his club senior on his own for 3 years but finally had to leave and they are now only barely clinging onto Intermediate status.
Hibs manager John Hughes has criticised former Glass Spider regular and disco-dancing striker Anthony Stokes after the Irishman was involved in an “incident” in a trendy Edinburgh nightspot earlier this month. “You talk them up, what these guys can do, and then you wake up on the Saturday morning and you’ve got a big custard pie stuck in your face,” said Hughes, as a gloopy yellow dessert dripped from his chin.
Why did you dig this horse shit thread back up?
Stokes is the poster boy for this thread, useless pile of big time charlie shite.
