I’d say he’s gutted England are gone because he’d have gotten massive traction with his takes if they were still in it. This is the next best way to get that.

Hes genuinely clueless. Doesnt understand sport. The psychology behind it. Will to win. Dealing with adversity. There is lots of analysis around Tuchel, substitutions, tactics but England reverted to type. Argentina when backed into a corner will come out swinging and throw the kitchen sink at you. It didnt matter who Tuchel had in there. Its laughable to think if they brought on Madueke or Saka that the outcome would have been any different. England were swept away by a tide of emotion. You couldnt hear their national anthem. There was only ever going to be one result. Argentina during theirs were like men possessed. They beat England physically in the first half and ran rings around them in the 2nd. They’ll beat you any way you like it.
You hear a lot of content online and its easy to be wise after the event. I listened to post portem of England on OTB this morning and these lads are genuinely clueless. Never played sport, never been in a dressing room so dont understand it. You would get a far better level of analysis on here from many knowledgeable contributors. But Ewan, the OTB lads etc have not got a clue.

Thats the thing , They’ll do anything but come out swinging , it’s too obvious .theyll come out pinching, gouging , insult your mother , but never swinging , it’s a lot more controlled than that .

Ah the vast majority of lads on TFK played sports surely. It’s a sports mad forum. Whether most of them were any good at it and kept it on past their teenage years is another thing entirely but I’d say pretty much everyone on here played underage.

I meant to a decent standard, in reply to the original post I assume Ewan and the OTB lads have also played some type of sports in their lives.
But you hear lads here repeating guff they heard on a podcast with no understanding of what it is to be the player on the ball or the pressure of the big moments, for me it’s generally the harshest critics who display the least understanding.
We are fed way too much information these days
