Fulham are a bizarre outfit.
Liverpoolâs title credentials taking a hammering given they couldnât beat these Arsenal chumps.
No Raul Jiminez, no party
Conor Gormley like block by Fulhamâs Paulinha there as Saka was about to pull the trigger, if Conor Gormley had blocked with his legs rather than his arms.
Woolwich benefiting again from soft officiating. Should have been a red card there for Saliba.
It was a gorgeous bit of cynicism to be fair, the type youâd have a real grudging respect for.
Thatâs an absolute hammer blow to the arsenal title challenge
Lego Man looks like heâs about to cry.
Arsenal didnât raise a gallop after going 2-1 down early in the second half. Didnât really create a chance or apply any pressure, if anything Fulham could have won by more. I imagine Arsenal fans would be concerned by how easily they accepted their fate.
Getting rid of Ramsdale hasnât worked at all. He brought a bit of personality and got the crowd involved last season, his replacement is no better a keeper and brings none of the energy. Arsenal and United are probably the 2 most boring sides to watch in the league this season, other than the laughter they provide.
Getting the collapse in early
Fulham 2 Arsenal 1
By Hugh McIlphanney
The gloom that hung over Craven Cottage for much of the second half seemed to encapsulate the pessimism engulfing Arsenal. The Gunnersâ red and white colours may be similar to those of Santa Claus, but this Christmas period has brought only unwanted gifts for Mikel Arteta and his team.
Wins at home to West Ham and away to Fulham are the sort of Lego bricks a league title challenge is built on. Contrary to motto of the Danish toy brand which has been so long a festive favourite, such games are not about playing well. Theyâre about winning. But for Arsenal, the foundations appear to be crumbling. On this final day of 2023, it felt like an air of finality was descending on the prospects of the league title coming to North London for the first time in two decades. At least to the red half.
Is Arsenal fan TV still a thing?
Arsenal struggling with the pace set by Coach Kloppâs third great team.

The number of players Man Citeh will lose to International Tournaments over the coming weeks.
City wonât even have to go on a run this season. The other teams will just fall over themselves for them. Liverpool havenât the depth. Arsenal havenât the mentality. Villa and Spurs arenât good enough
Theyâve a relatively soft run of games coming, with Haaland, Doku and KDB all coming back to full fitness. They were further off the pace last season, albeit possibly with players in better form but coming off a World Cup as well. Youâd have to imagine itâs set up nicely for them, but Liverpool and Aston Villa are a much more dangerous opponent than the soft underbellies of Arsenal and spurs. Moyesies West Ham could do damage yet too.
Cant think of any other clubs in the running, maybe Brighton if they regain momentum.
Odegaard is a big issue imo.
Heâs a brilliant player but there is never a through ball with him early.
Itâs all side to side & backwards stuff, retaining possession but itâs easily being defended.
There is no ball over the top, crosses are few & far between.
The big names just arenât up to it at all in Saka, Jesus, Odegaard & Martinelli.
Rice is charging about breaking up attacks & passing it around but heâs carrying too much weight defensively with Odegaard constantly roaming.
I donât know what Arteta can do or whether the likes of Toney can really improve it.
Thereâs a reason why Pep sold Jesus
