Price of a Haircut

Thinning scissors ruin a haircut. The short hairs end up pushing the up the longer ones and causing it to stick out in different directions after a week. A sign of a poor barber.

I think @Locke was referencing the scissors for the hair growing out of his ear, pal.

They do. A proper hairdresser will “thin out”
Or add texture using a normal scissors to cut in.

Got a fade today. A game changer.

I got another great haircut at my new favourite spot. My only small complaint is they take a long time getting it spot on, which means you are waiting ages if there is a few ahead of you.

Would they have many cutting then?

What’s a fade?

You know when we used to have to make a choice between a blade, 0, 1, 2 or 3?
Well this is all of them together.

Only 2 but both are excellent so you dont have to worry which one you get.

The haircut most young lads have these days with it tight at the back and sides and then fading into the top

Is it not fading the opposite direction?

Got the best cut I’ve had in years the other day in The Crew on South Lotts Road beside that utter cunt of a cafe Foodgame. I absolutely detest the cunts working in there.

WTF?

@Copper_pipe, throw up a photo there

From the neck up, start at a 0 then gradually increasing up to the top

I’ve gone for a taper the last few times myself and have been very happy with the results. Regular is the key thing, I’ve resigned myself to needing to go once a month.

Sounds like a lot of work

It’s both a curse and a blessing to barbers.
A slow job but needs regular maintenance.

What’s a taper?

Like a Fade but with less 0.

Suits the more conservative gentleman.

Is a taper not just skin?
